In providing straight through processes, NBS can more effectively deal with issues such as inventory management, process scheduling, audit and reconciliation, testing and development and document recovery.

DATA PROCESSING AND SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT

NBS is well known by its clients for the efficiency of its data conversion programs as well as the ability to develop complex, high volume and highly automated processes. Given the challenges that our clients seek in the areas of improving customer communications, and with the flexibility to address such functions as “one-to-one” marketing, NBS has both acquired and created sophisticated data management tools and the skilled development staff to deal with integration of client needs.

From the ability to receive client data through many media formats, including dial-up modem transfer, Internet FTP, and e-mail solutions, to the use of extremely powerful NT based processing platform’s, NBS is able to configure single stage or multiple stage processing which provides the desired outcomes. These outcomes include attractive document design, variable logos, postal automation discounts, record and document accountability, and several archiving options, which provide our clients with back-office records of the work performed.

COMPUTER POSTAL PROCESSING

One of the largest single items of expense involved with in the function of printing and mailing is the postage required putting the documents into the mail. This typically represents anywhere from 50% to 75% of the cost of the mailings, which NBS performs. The US Postal Service (USPS), recognizing that effective production and preparation of mailings can significantly reduce the cost of delivering the mail, has implemented millions of dollars worth of automation involving their processing procedures. Those mailers who are capable of performing certified preparation of mail, to the specifications of the USPS, can earn substantial discounts to the basic postal rates. In many cases, these postal discounts can be as high as 26%.

NBS offers sophisticated postal processing of data files to take maximum advantage of automation discounts given by the USPS. NBS passes these discounts directly to our clients through postage-account management. NBS does require that all postage necessary to complete a mailing be paid by the client in advance of the production involved with that mailing.

Postage presorting maximizes USPS discounts and generates all reports required for automation discounts by the USPS.
